Bulletin Board/Refrigerator of the Internet!

While reading last months issue of PC World I came across a very interesting article about a site that is like a refrigerator. As the metaphor went, what usually ends up on a refrigerator? The answer being, what ever we feel like putting on it, wether it’s magnets, notes, photos, report cards, ticket stubs, etc... The point is, we usually put things on a refrigerator (or bulletin board) things that we are proud of and want to "show off" or share.

Stixy.com Click here to be HyperLinked!

Does just this! Once you create an account here, you can post anything as neat or as sloppy as you want. And you can keep it for yourself or to let others enjoy. Post anything from documents, to pictures, videos and more! *Note* Stixy is currently in "Beta" mode meaning it’s allowing users to test and give feedback as far as the layout and function ability of the site (and for the moment, it’s FREE, (no opinion or knowledge as to wether this is going to change or not)). And in the opinion of A Prime P.C. this site is great for taking the "Community Networking" capabilities, functions, and resources to the next level!

What Can You Say But WOOT!!!

Surfing the internet, I happened by this kinda odd, but kinda not site.... To explain it simply, every day theres a "woot" which is an extremely great deal on various products. Thats it, every day new product, new opportunity, nothing MORE, but nothing less. You can review past products, but you can’t purchase them, you can only purchase the "woot" of the day. Part of the excitement is, you don’t know how many of the "woot" product there is, it’s first come first serve on the great deals served up daily!

http://www.woot.com

A little more about - Woot is an Internet retailer based in the Dallas suburb of Carrollton, Texas. It was founded by electronics wholesaler Matt Rutledge and debuted on July 12, 2004. Woot was the pioneer of the "One deal a day" business model on the internet. Woot offers one discounted product each day on its web site, woot.com. The product is available for 24 hours; it "expires" at midnight (US Central time) and is replaced by a different product for the next day. For the first several months of operation, the site only offered a new item from Monday to Friday, with Friday’s item carrying over until Monday at 12:00 a.m (CST) , or until all items were sold. In 2005, Woot began offering products 7 days a week. Woot has a community of customers who share their opinions on the site’s forums. Products vary but tend to emphasize computer components and electronic gadgets. Woot takes its name from the widely-used online interjection “w00t!”. Each product sold is referred to as a "woot". Woot also stands for Want One Of Those.
